Dr. Siri Wiig

Siri Wiig, PhD, MSc, is Professor and Centre Director at SHARE – Centre for Resilience in Healthcare, at the University of Stavanger (UiS), Norway. The SHARE Centre is the largest research group in Norway doing research on quality and safety in healthcare. Wiig is full Professor of Quality and Safety in Healthcare Systems at the Faculty of Health Sciences, UiS. Wiig is Adjunct Professor at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway, and Senior Adviser at Stavanger University Hospital, Norway; and Honorary Professor at Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, Australia and at the University of Wollongong, Australia.

Wiig’s key research interests are resilience in healthcare, patient safety, quality improvement, safety investigations, risk regulation, leadership, and learning in socio-technical systems.

Wiig has been involved in multiple large international research grants and led the Research Council of Norway project Resilience in Healthcare (2018-2024) (5 Mill. Euro). The RIH project developed a new theoretical and translational framework for resilience and included an international comparative study across six countries including Australia, England, Switzerland, Japan, the Netherlands and Norway. The RIH project let up the EU Horizon Europe Grant Support4Resilience (S4R)-Strengthening resilience and mental wellbeing through the Support4Resilience toolbox for leaders in elderly care (2024-2028) (6 Mill. Euro). Prof Wiig is coordinator of the consortium of 14 partners from 9 countries in the Support4Resilience project.

Prof. Dr. Shabbir Syed Abdu

Prof. Dr. Shabbir Syed-Abdul is an Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health Consultant and Professor at Taipei Medical University for over thirteen years. Prof. Shabbir focuses on integrating informatics, healthcare, and public health to drive innovation in the field of health IT. His work emphasizes using artificial intelligence to enhance digital healthcare solutions, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of aging populations and improving chronic disease management. By leveraging his expertise in informatics and healthcare, he contributes to sustainable health innovation projects and initiatives. His efforts are aimed at advancing effective solutions and promoting the alignment of technology with public health priorities. He also serves as Vice-President for Special Affairs at the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA), Senior Advisory Board Member of the IMIA Working Group for Medical & Health Informatics Education, and a member of the IBM Working Group for Quantum Computing for Healthcare and Life Sciences.

Prof. Olanrewaju Oladimeji

Olanrewaju Oladimeji, MB;BS, MSc, MPA, FRSPH, PhD is a Professor of Epidemiology and Implementation Research. He is the head of Doctoral Programs in the Department of Public Health at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. He is a member of the South African Young Academy of Science (SAYAS), an NRF-Y1-rated researcher, and a former visiting scholar in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He obtained a PhD in Public Health from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He later received a prestigious scholarship award for his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Global Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, USA. He has spent over a decade in science leadership and research coordination.

He has adjunct professorial affiliations with a few Universities where postgraduate candidates and junior researchers are supervised and mentored. He is an adjunct Professor of Public Health at Durban University of Technology in South Africa and a visiting Professor of Community Health at the University of Jos in Nigeria.

He has supervised over 45 postgraduate candidates up to date. He has been a Co-Investigator in many funded research projects, Principal Investigator of implementation and capacity development grants. His academic and research outputs have earned him several publications in DHET-accredited journals, and the impact of his research is reflected in many high-profile citations (Google Scholar: citation index is 47,976, h-index is 33, and his i10-index is 62. Based on his scholarly visibility, He is a Guest Editor for the Scientific report of a special collection, “Health disparities,” and an Editorial Advisor to F1000 Gateway Global Public Health. He is also an editorial board member for Nature Scientific Reports, academic editor for PLOS One, Pan Africa Medical Journals, and associate editor for Biomedical Central.

He serves as a grants review consultant for grant applications for various international organizations, including the United Nations Office of Special Projects and the Stop TB Partnership in Geneva. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), a Fellow of the African Scientific Institute (ASI), a Fellow of Southern African Science Leadership Program (S-ASLP), a member of the American College of Epidemiology (MACE), a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Public Health Association (APHA) and the American Thoracic Society (ATS). In March 2024, he received a Bronze Scientific Merit Award for his exceptional contributions to Health Research in South Africa.

His extensive industry exposure spans diverse international markets, from Latin America to Australia, where he has successfully led and developed high-performing, multicultural teams.

Currently serving as a Professor at the International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR), Bangalore, India, Dr. Pratap holds a Ph.D. from the International Business School of Scandinavia, Denmark. His expertise includes business process optimization, Health IT, Good Clinical Practice, and advancing commercial and clinical strategies within healthcare systems.

Deeply passionate about education and mentorship, Dr. Pratap is committed to nurturing the next generation of healthcare management professionals. He strives to go beyond theoretical teaching by sharing practical insights drawn from real-world experience, inspiring students and the wider community to innovate, lead, and make meaningful contributions to the healthcare sector.
